Pastor Dan Herr and his family
The Lord saved me when I was four years old through the influence of godly parents and through the ministry of Calvary Independent Baptist Church in Quarryville, Pennsylvania. My wife Patty also grew up in a Christian home; she was saved at the age of sixteen through a Gospel message preached at her home church in Peach Bottom, Pennsylvania.
The Lord brought us together in His perfect timing, and we were married on March 13, 1999. That same year, the Lord called us into full-time Christian service, and we served on staff at my home church in Lancaster County. After two years of service there, we moved to New England to receive additional Bible training at Emmanuel Baptist Theological Seminary in Newington, Connecticut. The Lord solidified His calling upon my life to be a preacher of the Gospel in the Spring of 2002, and I received the Master of Divinity degree in May of 2004. While in Connecticut, the Lord added three beautiful little girls—Vivienne, Evelynn, and Carolynn—to our family through the process of adoption.
Since August of 2004, our family has been making preparations to begin the work of planting a church in Chester. We have purchased a home in Chester, and are excited to be living among those to whom God has called us to minister.
