About Chester Baptist Church
HOW DID THE CHURCH BEGIN?
In October of 2003, under the ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Newington, Connecticut, a Bible study began in Chester with the prayer that a Baptist church would one day be established. Several individuals and families from Chester, Huntington, and Blandford have been blessed with Biblical teaching and with godly fellowship as a result of this weekly Bible study. In June of 2004, the members of the Bible study voted to proceed with the establishment of Chester Baptist Church; and the Herr family immediately began making preparations to plant an independent Baptist church in Chester.
WHAT IS CHESTER BAPTIST CHURCH LIKE?
Chester Baptist Church is an old-fashioned, independent Baptist, Christ-centered, family-oriented, Gospel preaching, KJV, soul winning, local New Testament church reaching the Chester community and the surrounding hill towns in western Massachusetts.
WHY START A CHURCH IN THE TOWN OF CHESTER?

hill town communities. . Located centrally between Westfield and Lee, Chester Baptist Church provides residents in Chester and in the surrounding area a great opportunity for Christ-centered, Biblically based, family-oriented worship and service.
